FAMILY MUSIC AT THE CARMEL VALLEY LIBRARY Broadway Kids of San Diego Wed., April 19 at 7:00 p.m. 2006
April’s free family music program sponsored by the friends of the Carmel Valley Library will feature the Broadway Kids of San Diego, directed by Alice Cash, in a program of songs from Steven Sondheim’s Into the Woods Junior and Anthony Drewe’s HONK! Into the Woods is about Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and other fairytale characters going into the woods to make their wishes come true. HONK! is based on Hans Christian Anderson’s The Ugly Duckling.Alice Cash, is a student at Canyon Crest Academy who has performed in more than 20 shows in the San Diego area, formed Broadway Kids last summer and directed its performance of Into the Woods Junior at the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library. This summer the company will perform HONK! And the The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. The company is made up of kids from 8-18 from Carmel Valley, Tierra Santa and Pacific Beach. The cast for this performance will include: Gretchen Cash, Samantha Cash, Cameron Elmore, Zoe Eprile, Melanie Farfel, Josh Herren, Blair Hollingsworth, Devon Hollingsworth, Rebecca Myers, Matthew Maretz, Arielle Pardes and Malone Peed.
